You guys, this weekend was UNREAL.
Part of the festivities kicked off on Wednesday (which I told you about on Saturday) and then the real fun started.
I knew I had a pretty big weekend, so I opted to lay low on Friday. Also, I was hoping that by sleeping I could somehow kick the cold/plague I was suffering from.
My Saturdays typically start with a run with the Lolë run club, but given I wasn’t able to breathe, I headed to the store to send runners on their way, and then went home to tidy/rest before heading to Rumble for some boxing. I’ll use boxing loosely for myself given the aforementioned cold.
A full recap of Rumble is heading your way on Wednesday.
From there it was back home for a brief rest and then to get ready for Jen’s birthday slash going away dinner. *sniff* I’m still in denial that she’s leaving, but I’m oh so excited to see what get gets up to!
We all met at GreekTown which wasn’t far from me, but Becky and I opted to drive since it was freezing cold out, and I wasn’t sure if I’d make it if I walked. Instead of going for drinks after, I opted to go home to rest up as much as possible for our crazy Sunday.
After a super fun night I was up on time to head to Barre Body Studio for another class with the Blog Squad girls. Lanette was our wonderful private instructor and we had a great time pulsing and shaking and then it was time to head back to Sport Chek Women for an Adidas Here to Create session. I’d heard Christina rave about them, so when I had a chance to attend I make sure to jump on it!

After all the fitness, I was exhausted and hungry, prime for me to be cranky, but it’s hard to be cranky when surrounded by some of my favourite people. We made the smart choice and went in search of food before retiring to our respective homes to prepare for the week.
This was a weekend where I need a weekend from my weekend, but it’s also the best kind of weekend that leaves my heart feeling happy and full. I sound like a broken record, but I feel so lucky (hashtag blessed) to have these women in my life.
How did you spend your weekend?
