Happy Friday and happy end of October. What?!
October didn’t fly by quite so quickly as September did, but it does feel like it’s over a touch too soon.
I also can’t believe I’m leaving for California in less than two weeks – I should probably get my costume figured out, right?!

I want this category to be a balance between physical health, and mental health.
|Stretch and foam roll 3-4 times per week. I know I should do it daily, but I also know I'm going to forget about it sometimes, so a few times a week will be an excellent start for me.||Okay, so I foam rolled once. ONCE. And that was after the run and before spin. Yikes.|
I do stretch after every barre class, though.
|I've committed to running to rack up the miles for If Girls Ran the World and since I'm running both a 10k and half marathon (back to back!) in November, so I want to run 3-4 days per week. I'm going to start off easy, and build my mileage throughout the month.||Oof. I definitely thought I'd run more, but I just wasn't overly motivated with the dreary and foggy weather, which is a shame. And it also doesn't help the 10k and half I have in two weeks...|
|Keep on going to barre. One: because I love it. Two: because cross training will be super important as I start adding on the miles with running.||Check and check!|
|Get back to bringing my lunches to work, and meal plan using SPUD Calgary grocery delivery and Chefs Plate meal delivery.||So this has gone really well! I always feel way better when I eat food from home than when I buy food.|
|Get back into the swing of things blog-wise. I have a few posts planned for the next few weeks, and I've found pre-planning works best for me.||I spent some time this month coming up with a posting schedule that I'm really happy with. Moving forward, you'll see 3-4 posts per week, instead of 5 - and I hope that will help me to find some more balance.|
|Reevaluate my ad partner. Some of you might be aware that MODE Media suddenly shut down in September, and I had recently made the switch to them. You'll notice I am running ads on my site right now, and I want to be sure it's a good fit for everyone.||I truthfully didn't have a ton of time to spend on this. I'm not entirely sure how I feel about my current partner, so I might do some more testing in November.|
|Tidy. Tidy, tidy, tidy, tidy, tidy 😉 I hired someone to come in and clean my condo twice a month, and I want to put in the effort to keep things clean in-between cleanings.||Let me tell you, I am SO HAPPY with my house cleaner. I think I did a decent job at keeping things tidy, but definitely need to put aside more time to deal with my laundry. Ick.|
|Set aside time to tackle my storage unit and spare bedroom. Since I'm not really travelling this month (I might head a few hours away to hang with a friend for Thanksgiving, but that's it) I'll have time to clean and tidy.||This was kind of a fail. I just dislike my spare room and my storage unit, so I avoid them, which helps no one. Back on the list it'll go in November.|
|Since I'm back from vacation, it's time to stay on track with my budget. I know I talk about this nearly every month, but staying within my budget is important to me.||I think I did fairly well here. While I was considering a second cat, Charlie came up suddenly, but I was able to make it work.|
|Plan, at minimum, monthly friend dates. Since the Bachelorette ended, I haven't put aside the same amount of time to spend with my friends, and I'd like get back to regular catch ups.||This month was fully of lovely friend dates and it made me so, so happy!|
