My goodness, it feels like it’s been nearly forever since I’ve shared links with y’all. Please forgive me.
September really got away from me. With two trips and lots of catch up, I felt like I never had a chance to sit down and do some reading (probably because I didn’t!).
With that, I hope you’re able to enjoy these – even if some of them might be a touch old.
How I Stopped Buying Things I Don’t Need <– this is a problem I used to have. Buying. Buying as a way to fill a hole. Now, I’m still prone to shopping, but I’m certainly far more conscious of what I spend money on, and value what I have.
I’m Voting For The Democrat In November Because I’m Not A Human Tire Fire (October 2016 Edition) <– so I’m Canadian and can’t vote in the US, but if I could…(I generally stay away from getting political, but I seem to have a lot of opinions about this one, so you’ll probably see a few articles from time to time)
An Open Letter to My Millennial Friends Who Are Thinking of Staying Home or Voting Third Party on Election Day <– read this. This is important.
If You Vote For Trump, Then Screw You <– why yes, I do have opinions on the matter.
Why We Need To Talk About High-Functioning Depression <– why am I sharing this? Because I’ve been there/sometimes am there.
To Anyone Who Thinks They’re Falling Behind In Life <– because maybe, like me, you needed to read this.
And what I think we all need more than anything is this: permission to be wherever the fuck we are when we’re there.
The way we think about charity is dead wrong <– this 20 minute talk has completely flipped my views on charity on its head. Seriously.
OMG there’s a new ‘Gilmore Girls’ featurette and it’s 2 minute and 40 seconds of perfection <– how many more days?!
Last year, after getting my flu shot (thank you to my employer and AHS for making them free!) I came down with influenza. (Note that this was MONTHS after I got the vaccine) Influenza (aka – the flu) is an awful, terrible, respiratory infection that’s paired with fever and chills NOT a GI issue as many people seem to believe. This was the sickest I have ever been in my life, and I had the Norovirus previously. I also went into the doctor ASAP and was able to get Tamiflu and I still took 4 days off work and coughed for 10 days after the rest of my symptoms went away. Yes, I got sick after getting the flu shot, sometimes that happens. Yes, I’m getting it again this year. I may be a healthy enough individual to survive the flu, but many people aren’t and by getting the flu shot, you’re helping to keep them healthy.
Where to find free & stylish stock photos for your #girlboss blog <– because free is fabulous
The Low Down On Running And Your Knees <– I’m tooting my own horn here, as I shared this on Jen’s blog while she was away. So in case you missed it, give it a peek.
Nutritional Takeaways From The Rise.Run.Retreat <– some super great tips for runners.
9 signs you’re a highly sensitive person <– I am, and I find it typically bites me in the butt at work.
