Happy Friday the 13th.
Cue ominous music.
I’m not superstitious except for sports, and even I know that my wearing a jersey, not wearing a jersey, buying a hat, wearing a hat, not wearing a hat, etc has all of zero outcome on a sporting event, but still.
All that to say, to me, Friday the 13th is merely another day in my world.
And today is extra special since I’m in St Louis with the most amazing friends ever, so today I’m leaving you with a link love post. I hope you find something fun, something new, or something you never knew.
The Dating Journal | Back To Reality <– a behind the scenes look at Married at First Sight. Totally worth the read.
Your Job Doesn’t Have to Be Your Passion, and That’s OK <– I’ve been wanting to write a very similar post on this topic, and Beverley has taken the words right out of my mouth. I love that I don’t take work home with me and that I can take vacation time and travel without needing to bring work with me (I played that game for nearly 6 years).
11 Tips To Start 2017 Right <– ‘Relentlessly focus on what you care about, and relentlessly dismiss what you don’t.’
Taking Flight, Why I Joined Oiselle <– you may (or may not) have guessed that I’m no longer a part of Oiselle Volee, or Flock, or whatever it was renamed. After being a part of them for two years, I decided it was time for other opportunities (see my Lole announcement) but I’m so excited to see Kelly is with Oiselle. She’s truly inspiring and lovely.
The 20 Funniest Tweets From Women This Week <– at this point this is from last week, but they’re no less funny.
Blogging Conferences and Taxes <– yes, I wrote this, but with tax season barreling ahead, this might be a good resource for some of you.
My Feelings About Non-Credentialed Fitness Information <– I want to stand up and shout YES every time I read this post. Seriously. I agree it’s possible to educate yourself, I don’t think people without the appropriate credentials should present themselves as an expert.
If You’re an Introvert With Anxiety, These Comics Are for You <– yes to pretty much all of these!
To The People Who Think My Anxiety Is Selfish: Here’s What’s Actually Going On <– my anxiety has most definitely impacted friendships and relationships
The Perfect Way My Psychologist Explained Anxiety <– I also do this with actual stuff…
No, Being Stressed Isn’t the Same as Having Anxiety <– this is one of my pet peeves.
I actually didn’t watch The Bachelor last week with my girls. Monday was a holiday and schedules were busy, but I did watch, and was excited to get back to our regular viewing this week!
Fun fact: a friend of mine is friends with one of the contestants. I’m trying to get dirt (or a set up with Wells) but so far said-contestant isn’t sharing much. Hrmph.
The Bachelor: On The Season Opener And Finding The One <– yes! Can we please talk about the type of girls “cast” on the show and how they’re all virtually the same?!
Ok, so maybe some of these Bachelor girls are truly ready to settle down with The One at 23, but shouldn’t you give it a little more time out there in Tinder and Bumble land before breaking out the big guns? Come on ladies, stop making me feel like such a dating failure for being mid-way through 23 and not yet booking Disneyworld for my dream-wedding.
I’m 33, does this mean I should just give up on everything? (this is a joke, people)
Kareem Abdul-Jabbar: ‘The Bachelor’ Is Killing Romance in America (Guest Column) <– guys, this is such an important take on the franchise.
The real crime is the lack of intellectual and appearance diversity, which leaves the contestants as interchangeable as the Mr. Potato Head parts.
I have so many thoughts about Nick’s season, but I may save those for another day.
43 Perfect Tweets About The Most Cringeworthy Episode Of ‘The Bachelor’ <– I just love Emma and Claire. There’s a link to my most favourite podcast Here to Make Friends at the bottom of this page. Enjoy!Happy Friday! I'm loving these links from Ange!Click To Tweet
