Woo, happy Saturday, friends!
My plans for this weekend include sleeping in, staying in my PJs and watching crappy TV. This is the first weekend in 2016 that I’ve been able to be lazy and let me tell you, I will be soaking it up. I do enjoy being productive, but I’ve had too many weekends with alarm clocks lately.
Remember when I used to post links each Saturday? And then six months ago I stopped? Well I’ve been reading so much great content that I wanted to bring this back to share with you.
I’d love to know if you enjoy these types of posts.
6 Things You Need to Do to Get Your Content Shared <– kickass tips from Erin for all bloggers
Pinch of Yum December 2015 Income and Traffic Report <– I really enjoy how transparent Bjork and Lindsay are in sharing their business. While I don’t ever expect this place to support me full-time, it’s really interesting reading about strategies and how to grow a business, even if it will be a side business.
On Going Off Depression Medication During Pregnancy <– my daily medication is considered one that is “not safe” while pregnant, so while I’m in no place to even think about getting pregnant (I’d prefer to actually be in a relationship before that happens) this is a very real concern of mine.
I Can’t <– a lovely post highlighting why we feel so raw at the loss of certain celebrities.
4 Jokes About Mental Illness You Need to Stop Making <– I briefly touched on this when highlighting #BellLetsTalk and this goes into greater detail about why we need to be careful with our words.
Four Reasons Why You Shouldn’t Quit Sugar <– totes don’t plan on quitting sugar. Ever. NOMS.
This Woman Is Taking A Stand Against People Who Say Mental Illness Is Fake <– I have a lot of feelings about this and I’m so glad she spoke out against people “faking it”. Trust me, I absolutely have had days where the mere thought of getting out of bed makes me feel anxious.
Prince Harry’s pickup line: ‘I’m not dating & for the first time ever I want to find a wife’ <– stands. clears throat
Why you need to be single sometimes <– I agree with absolutely everything in this post. When I separated I made a conscious choice to not date and stay single and I know I’m a better person because of it.
The best tweet ever composed.
I’m not sure what happened, but worth a scroll.
5 Reasons Your Blog Doesn’t Have Any Readers <– some great reminders for all bloggers, new and old.
Five Things You Should NOT Be Blogging About <– I absolutely agree with all of these, and I’m pretty sure I’ve been guilty of some, if not all, of them at some point. Live and learn, right?!
25 TED Talks That Will Change How You See the World <– I absolutely love TED Talks. Love. TEDx is coming to Calgary, and I’m anxious waiting for tickets to be released.
