I’ve been doing my best to read and catch up on blogs this week, but when Bloglovin’ updated it mashed all my categories into one, so I’m having to sort through tons and tons of posts and it’s frustrating and overwhelming and oh my gosh what a first world problem I have.
It got to the point on Thursday where I declared reader bankruptcy and started over.
Because the internet is awesome
Awesome finds around the internet this week
3 Quick Fixes to Upgrade the Look of Your Brand <– click it, there are printables and planning sheets. Whee!
NEDA: I Had No Idea <– Meghan does an awesome job about talking about disordering eating and the Healthy Living Blog-world.
Losing and Gaining…..and Accepting Myself at Every Weight <– in writing my book review I went back to Andie’s blog and fell in love with it all over again. The compassion that we owe ourselves is so important, and yet, it’s just so dang difficult for us to realize.
What To Expect When You’re WIAW’ing <– Jenn’s follow-up to her hiatus last week.
The Hard Truths of Blogging <– Hollie is one of my favourites because she tells it like it is. Love her.
Guliana Rancic <– Cherie is one of my Ragnar gals and I think she nailed this post. (I should also note that I can’t stand Guliana Rancic, like, at all).
6 Ways to Better Your Blog While You Watch TV <– Blogging! TV! Multitasking!
Egg Waffles <– my two favourites combined. I cannot wait to try cooking egg in a waffle maker. I’m kind of upset I didn’t think of this first.
Feeling the Fear <– I was lead to this post in an email from Katie (if you don’t get her emails you need to! Trust me on this) and whew. Talk about timing and being hit in the gut. In the best and scariest way possible.
Thinking Out Loud….Body Image <– Leana is an absolute beast completing and Ironman and Goofy this year, and yet, we (athletes) can still struggle with how we look. I’ve been there. Seeing speedy runners in runderwear breezing through, while listening to the fun sound my capris make as my thighs rub together throughout the race. But you know what?! That doesn’t define me, or my health.
Llamas <– this might very well be the best part of the week for, well, everyone?
Down, But Not Out <– the part about the emergency contact? Yup. (Hey mom, FYI, it’s you).
7 Ways to Stay Strong when Everything Goes Wrong <– I can’t say why, but it seems like many of my friends are going through a rough patch this winter. From the article:
Don’t build mountains in your mind. Don’t try to conquer the world all at once. When you seek instant gratification (big, quick fixes) you make life unnecessarily painful and frustrating. When you choose instead to treat each moment as an opportunity to make a tiny, positive investment in yourself, the rewards come naturally.
Why Your Brain Thinks that Blue Dress is White <– I talked about the llamas, I had to talk about the dress too, right?! BTW – #blackandblue
18 Most Annoying Fitness Myths that Just Won’t Die <– the “muscle weighs more than fat” one gets me every time. Grrrrr.
I can’t even to infinity on this one <– it darn near makes me consider changing my cable provider even though it is currently FREE because the ridiculousness is un-freaking-believable here.
14 Tips to Stay Sane, Organized + Inspired as a Blogger <– “when you feel your best, you’ll do your best” great advice!
