Good Saturday morning friends!
As this goes up, I’m on my way to run 15km up and down a hill. Originally, I had 15 miles on my schedule, but since I didn’t make it out for my 10 miles last weekend, I thought jumping to 15 might be a bit too aggressive (I kind of suck at training this cycle) so I’m going for 10 this weekend as well.
Just for fun, here’s the elevation profile of my run today – oof! Oh, and I went to spin class last night too. I make awesome decisions.
To add to my awesome decisions, I also have plans to run my errands immediately after my run since I’ll be in the area. I’ll probably be hungry, cranky and smelly. Awesome.
If you aren’t out running, or running errands, here are some links to keep you occupied this morning.
Because the internet is awesome.
The Food Babe Blogger is Full of Shit <– I prefer to get my facts (the real ones) from actual real science and not people who attend Google University (although I do refer to Doctor Google on occasion). Excerpt from the article:
Hari uses this tricky technique again and again. If I told you that a chemical that’s used as a disinfectant, used in industrial laboratory for hydrolysis reactions, and can create a nasty chemical burn is also a common ingredient in salad dressing, would you panic? Be suspicious that the industries were poisoning your children? Think it might cause cancer? Sign a petition to have it removed?
What if I told you I was talking about vinegar, otherwise known as acetic acid?
10 Ways to Get Excited About Your Blog <– I’ve totally had times where I’ve felt overwhelmed about my blog, or like I wasn’t publishing anything worthwhile. These are 10 great tips and I think the biggest reminder is that it’s normal 🙂
How to Practice Fueling for Your Next Marathon <– I love how Tina breaks everything down with what has and hasn’t worked for her in her training.
Looking for Happiness <– I’ve been a fan of The Bloggess forever, and I love this post asking for people to share happiness with an apology or disclaimer. You never need to apologize for being happy.
Not Every Trainer Speaks the Truth <– just, UGH.
FYI Friday – Probiotics Good for Your Gut or Good Marketing? <– sometimes I feel like Jen should just write my blog for me, she does such a good analysis on all the crazy food stuff and trends out there, I love it!
