You may have noticed I didn’t post a link love last week.
Sometimes weeks just get away from me and I don’t have time to read as much as I’d like, and I’d rather share some awesome posts and resources than just a handful of links.
I’m also going to try sharing on Sundays instead of Saturdays as Sunday seems to be better for views.
I’m pumped to start my first (of seven!) long weekends 😀
Why Athletics Canada needs to let Lanni Marchant run the Olympic marathon <– this upsets me so much. Lanni deserves to run both races at the Olympics – I think it’s really sad that Canada would opt to send no one instead of sending someone and risking a non-top 12 finish.
Instagram Changes & Why There’s More To Life Than Followers <– I do not keep track of my followers. I mean, I’ll update my spreadsheet once a month, but if someone were to unfollow me, I’d 100% not know who it was. *shrug*
My 3 Step Approach To Increase Blog Traffic <– these tips aren’t rocket science, but are useful and a good reminder for all of us.
8 Common Food And Nutrition Myths <– yes, yes, yes to #6!!
10 Changes After I Started Antidepressant Medication <– Erin’s post so closely mirrors my own experience, I could have very well written this myself.
Project fear is a fitting name, you should be fucking terrified <– obviously written before the vote, but a great read. (also, language, but you probably guessed that from the title).
130 Ways to Get Traffic <– because I (apparently) live under a rock, I hadn’t heard of AppSumo until now, but after discovering it on Monday, I’ve enjoyed cruising for deals and learning more about social media and sharing.
This Lifetime Deal Will Change How You Use Instagram <– did you know you can schedule and auto post to Instagram from your desktop?! I really enjoy sharing in the moment, but sometimes I’ll think of something to share, but know it’ll be more relevant in a few days and then I forget.
Strike Three <– ugh. This post makes me absolutely sick to my stomach, and I know there are so many women who are treated the same on a daily basis.
I Tried “Power Posing” for One Month to See If It Actually Works <– if you haven’t listened to Amy Cuddy’s TED Talk on power posing, you really really need to. Look, I’m even including it here for you 😉
Read This Story Without Distraction (Can You?) <– guys, this was actually really hard. While I didn’t get interrupted while reading, I wanted to start sharing it before I finished and then I needed to really focus. So, I challenge you, read the link without distraction.
It’s the reason television shows we tweet through feel tiresome and books we pick up and put down and pick up again never seem to end. The more we allow ourselves to be distracted from a particular activity, the more we feel the need to be distracted.
Yoga For Runners For Beginners <– some great tips for any runner looking to include more yoga in their training.
20 Legal Things Every Blogger Needs to Know <– seriously super important.
Do You Let Social Media Define You? <– I agree so much that social media is both the best, and the worst. I’ve met some amazing people, but then there’s the comparison trap which suuuuucks.
5 Common Mistakes Runners Make <– I very much agree with all of these!
Seven 5 Minute Workouts to Add After Your Runs <– spend 5 minutes doing planks and you’ll be a stronger runner!
31 Books You Need To Bring To The Beach This Summer <– the perfect list for my upcoming trip!
An Ode To The Only Man On ‘The Bachelorette’ You’d Want To Date <– Wells is totally my type, and he lives in my favourite city, so we’re meant to be, right?!
The Expectations To Have Kids And Why It Needs To Stop <– I absolutely love this post from Jen. I started adding my comments here, but they became so long, but I think I may just have to turn it into my own post about the subject, from the point of view of a divorced, single 33 year old.
An Ex-Bachelor Contestant Remembers Being Humiliated by the Creator of UnREAL <– an interesting look at what it’s like to be a contestantHappy Sunday! I'm loving these links from Ange!Click To Tweet
