Happy Monday, my friends!
Hold up. It’s December?! WHHHHAT?!
I hope those of you who had an extended weekend fully enjoyed your turkey, pumpkin pie (my favourite!) and relaxing with your loved ones.
I decided to switch things up a bit here on Mondays. See? I’m not currently training for anything, so the majority of my “Marathon Monday” posts would be: I did nothing. The end. And, really, that’s a bit of a silly blog post.
So I’m going to recap whatever fitness I did during the week and then take some time to talk about the good in my life. Be it something good that happened over the weekend, or the week, or even just one specific moment that made me happy and thankful.
I really believe that taking time out of our lives to recognize and acknowledge the good makes us happier, and it makes us better able to recognize the good going forward.
As you know, last weekend was spent moving, so the majority of this week was spent unpacking. Certainly not planned exercise, but exercise nonetheless!
I decided to go easy on myself and I attended a detox yoga class at the Hot Shop by my house. My body was still feeling a bit wrecked from the move, so a relaxing class was needed on Sunday!
I decided Saturday would be my errands and self care day. I was up early as my moving boxes were being picked up (if I didn’t have a timeline I probably would have left my stuff in boxes for a month!) and then off to a chiropractor appointment. Since I was already out, I hit up Bed Bath and Beyond, Home Depot and Costco. Then it was time to get my hair did.
While I don’t “do” my hair daily for work (can you say lazy?) I do make sure I have regular appointments to keep the colour fresh (aka – cover the grey!) and my ends from being a tangled mess. I absolutely love just relaxing in a chair for a few hours with not a care in the world!
Since Saturday was a bit of a busy day, I was happy to spend some time just relaxing on Sunday and tidying up with the TV on in the background.
All-in-all it was a pretty uneventful weekend, but absolutely what I needed and that’s marvelous!
What was marvelous about your weekend?
