Like last week, I’m combining marathon Monday and MIMM because Monday’s need a little extra help sometimes 😉
My workouts this past week were pretty non-existent. I just haven’t been feeling it, but I know I need to kick that in the butt so I’ve signed up for a yoga sculpt class tonight, spin Wednesday, yin yoga Friday and have plans for a spin class on Sunday after my blogger Christmas party on Saturday. Sunday might be exceptionally painful.
I forced myself to get my butt in gear this weekend and finish organizing. Oh man, I did so much and I’m just giddy with how great my place looks. Unfortunately for y’all I finished after it got dark and taking pictures of darkness isn’t quite so flattering, but I will be showing off my new space bit by bit starting with my entry way later on this week.
Gah! I’m just so excited.
I also pampered myself on Sunday, which I hope to make a weekly routine. As such, I’ll be starting a Self Care Sunday link up next week. You may think this is the same as Treat Yourself Tuesday, but I’m going to disagree (sometimes I like to be difficult). I think treating ourselves is super important because we do deserve it! I also think it’s important to recognize when we need a little self care and to give ourselves permission to sleep in, have a bath, eat the pizza, whatever our body (or mind!) may need in that moment.
I encourage you to think about how you embrace self care and link up with me next Sunday to share how you take care of you. I think over the holiday season we can so often neglect ourselves because we’re go! go! go! with commitments and visitors (or visiting!) and staying up late that we’re just exhausted by the end of it. Embrace the self care this year.
