Holy moly, you guys, in just sixteen days I’ll be on my way to LA for BlogFest! To say I’m crazy excited is a huge understatement!
Today I’m taking some time to introduce y’all to my BlogFest buddy, Alyse!
1. Who are you? Tell us in a brief paragraph who you are / what city you live in / what you blog about?
Hi! I’m Alyse, one of the founders of Fit Approach (and co-host of BlogFest!). I’m a yogi and dancer primarily but dabble in just about every kind of fitness, from running to aerials to bootcamps and glider yoga. I just moved to Austin, TX a few months ago and am LOVING my new city!
I blog mostly about fitting in a healthy lifestyle, blogger education, and my love of food. I also just started a new blog because I found out I’m pregnant with my first, so I’m chronicling the trials and tribulations of things like morning sickness and growing out of your clothes over there. 2. What was your favorite part about BlogFest last year?
Ooh, hard to say. I LOVED seeing Jillian Michaels; she had such a relatable, motivational style. I think everyone left the room with a serious girl crush. I also loved getting to meet so many online friends and community members in person. There’s nothing like face-to-face!
3. What was the last health/fitness milestone you crushed?
I’m really proud of myself for getting back into aerials. It’s something I had long dreamed of doing, but the instructor I first worked with was pretty discouraging about what my abilities were or could be. I found a better instructor and just love getting to fly!
4. If money was no object, where would you travel for vacation and what would you do there?
I would love to do a scuba diving trip to Australia or in the Red Sea! I love being in the ocean and getting to pretend I’m a mermaid.
5. When did you first become interested in the fitness world and what sucked you in?
I’ve always been active: I grew up a dancer and a swimmer, but like most people, lost my way a little in college. Starting Fit Approach, and seeing the amazing Sweat Pink community achieve great things, is what really sucked me in, and keeps me coming back for more!
6. What workout kicked your butt the most?
Oh boy. I have had my butt kicked so many times! At BlogFest last year, Caroline and Mo’s bootcamp was brutal in all the right ways, as was Shauna Harrison‘s workout for Under Armour at IDEA World.Jamie’s glider yoga classes always leave me sore for days.
