One of the questions I received in my ask me anything post (PS – I’m keeping the form open and check it a few times a week, so if you ever have a question you don’t want to ask in the comments – feel free to submit it through the form!) was what are my blogging goals.
Am I in it to wing it, or do I actually have a plan?
I really loved this question because it challenged me to think about what the heck am I even doing here?!
Upon really thinking about my goals, and what my ideal reader would want to read (I’m still working on writing out my personas, but it’s brewing in my brain), I’ve come up with the following.
I mean, duh, right?!
(Is duh still a thing? Probably not……).
Since I’m currently working on two running coach certifications (I’ll be sharing more about these next week) talking about running just makes sense.
I want to share my running experience (good and bad) and I also want to share information that I’m learning while studying and completing my certifications.
2. Healthy Living
Now, that’s a pretty broad stroke, but my focus is going to be more concentrated.
How do you do it when you don’t have all the time in the world?!
I work full time. I’m training for a marathon, and the only person who is able to take care of my house is me.
I want to share how I manage to eat healthy, what kind of planning I can fit in my life to do so, and how it can help you.
3. Mental Health
I haven’t posted much about anxiety recently, because, I suppose I haven’t had much to say?
It’s not something that’s ever going to go away, but sometimes it lies dormant (like now) and other times it’s more active. Yes, I just made anxiety sound like a volcano.
I read a lot of books about life improvement, and there are some points that really resonate with me. I’m hoping to start sharing these and how they help me over the next few months.
I know many people want more about the day-to-day life, so I plan to include those general life updates in with the three main focuses of the site.
As new ideas for posts arise, I’ll do my best to tie them in to my three main areas of focus.
You’ll also be treated to race recaps, some posts on shopping (especially when I travel to the US) and the occasional random Merlin picture.
And as many Jennifer Lawrence gifs as possible.

If you blog, did you set goals and a focus for yourself? Any tips for me?
