When I first started running back in 2010 it took me a long time to identify as a runner.
I mean, I ran, I trained (kind of), but I didn’t really feel like a runner.
I supposed you could say I was still trying to find my stride in the running world.
Today, on National Running Day (I’m assuming Canada gets to participate) I want to talk about why I run.
My relationship with running was pretty rocky from 2011-2013. I signed up for races and either didn’t train, dropped down and even had a few DNS races in there.
It wasn’t until 2013 that I was able to refocus myself and actually train.
I blew myself away.
After conquering SeaWheeze my goals changed.
In just a few short days I’ve made new running friends and have plans to run with old friends who are now runners.
I probably say it a lot, but it needs to be said again, the running community just blows me away.
The support and encouragement is out of this world and I love and adore it.
So right now I’m going to start…..
Why do you run?
Why did you start running?
Has why you run changed over time?
I’d love to say I’ll be running today, but there are a handful of people who would hunt me down and physically harm me if I did, so I shall go for a walk instead, and I shall also link up with the lovely Cori.
