five things friday where you can find out what’s been making me smile (or frown) this week
Hello, friends! We’ve made it to yet another Friday.
I mentioned yesterday I’ve been struggling with blogging, but these are some of my favourite posts to write. I really do enjoy sharing things I’m enjoying, or have found about the internet, and I hope you enjoy them as well.
Whole Foods Gummy Stars
I found these while visiting Leslie and they’re delicious. I initially bought them as running fuel, but since I haven’t really done any long runs, I’m just enjoying snacking on them in the evenings. I’m almost done my bag ($12 worth!) so I’ll need to stock up when I head back to the US in a few weeks.
I love podcasts.
Love, love, love.
I did a happy dance when Revisionist History returned for season two and anxiously await episodes each Wednesday. If you haven’t listened, I highly recommend starting with season one and listening, since they’re fascinating.
Time with Friends
Last night I went to a coffee shop to listen to some live music. After, instead of going home and going to bed, I stayed out and had a great time. It was absolutely, 100% worth being a bit tired today 🙂
If you pop on over to my Instagram Stories, you’ll be able to watch a few videos from last night.
Eating on Patios
I love, love, love eating outside.
#ad Dinner and wine on my balcony looks picturesque, right?! The reality is that I'm out of food, and the cats were out of food, so instead of running, I had to run errands. I can scavenger for food, but the cats aren't good at hunting. 😉 Thanks to Edo I was able to make what might be a forgettable evening of errands #unforgettabowl with this delicious Dynamite Poke bowl. Real life isn't always glamorous and perfect, but a quiet moment on my balcony sure helps! #cowgirlruns
I don’t actually eat outside all that often at home because of the cats. They aren’t allowed on the balcony, so I have to go outside and close the door, and it just leaves me feeling so closed off. When I’m out and about, I’ll take every opportunity to sit on a patio in order to soak up as much sun as humanly possible.
Butcher and The Baker
I try not to buy my lunch too frequently, but I didn’t get much in the way of meal planning done last weekend, so I’ve been cobbling together lunches, or eating out. On Wednesday, I hate this amazing beef melt sandwich that I am still thinking about. It was basically perfection.
What are you loving this week?
