Here we go again! Time to share what I’ve finished reading in the past month. I’m also going to share the books I’ve started as some of them are pretty recent, and I’m hoping to be done them for the next link up 🙂
This month was better than last, but again, not amazing.
I’m okay with that. I’m going through a reading lull as I’m preferring to blog, or listen to podcasts. I’ve also been told I’m kind of busy (understatement of the year) so reading has fallen off in favour of surviving.
Received from Blogging for Books in turn for review.
I struggled with this book. I’ve read lots of really great reviews of the story, but for some reason I just had a lot of trouble connecting with the characters and it took a lot of effort to read it. Maybe the dark and twisty isn’t my jam?
I had hoped this book would get me back to reading. I read it in a number of days. It’s a pretty typical Sophie Kinsella book, but I still really enjoyed the story and plot lines. I also appreciated how the book addressed our Instagram selves, and real life selves.
I easily crushed this book in a day. The basis of the book is that females athletes are told to eat like males, even though our bodies are (obviously) very different. Sims uses fact and study to provide recommendations for female athletes on how to best eat and fuel our bodies. If you’re a female athlete, I highly recommend picking up this book.
I mentioned last week I was digging the TV show, and as you can see, I have three books on the go. This may also be why I’m struggling to finish any one book, because I want to read allllllll of them.
The second book in the Everlife series. I’m about a quarter of the way in and am enjoying it as much as the first.
I purchased this book after Brie was telling us about The Minimalists over dinner on Sunday. One of my goals this year is to live intentionally, so after I read a bit more about The Minimalists, I knew I needed this book in my life. I started in on Sunday and if I didn’t have to function at work, I probably would have stayed up all night reading. I also just started the podcast and am also digging it.
What books are you digging right now?
