A quick disclaimer – I was hoping to show you pictures of my Fabletics outfits and the clothes I picked up in Vegas (hey! I bought clothes in Vegas!) but my house is a mess and I probably spent too long playing on Pinterest, so I didn’t have time to organize and take pictures. Not to worry, I still have lots of goodies for you.
When I left off yesterday, we’d finished Ragnar, slept for 12 hours and Katie and I were chilling our legs in the hotel pool. We moseyed down to find some free coffee for me (Katie doesn’t drink coffee, weirdo) and give ourselves a modified ice bath in the non-heated hotel pool.
After thoroughly freezing our legs it was back upstairs for me to repack my luggage, but only kind of as I still had one more day in Vegas!
We met up with Tina, divided the rest of the swag from our amazing sponsors (I should mention we were sponsored by Chase This Skirt, Clif Bar, Krave, ShowerPill, Nuun, KTTape, Vega and EnergyBits) and hopped in Katie’s car to head to the strip.
(PS – Katie runs ChaseThisSkirt. If you’re in the market for a running skirt you need to order from her!! I wasn’t sure if I’d like running in a skirt and I can tell you I 100% didn’t notice it at all. And?! We all looked damn cute in them!!)
Due to a bit of a kerfuffle back in 2013 (remember when I was supposed to go to Hawaii and didn’t? Yeah) I had a $100 credit with Expedia and used it to book an amazing room at the Aria for Tina and I on Sunday night. Katie was kind enough to drive our butts to the hotel and I somehow managed to convince her to spend the afternoon with us at the pool. I know, hard choice 🙂
After enjoying some beverages we headed up to the room to get changed and met Cami for dinner. Somehow we thought it would be a good idea to walk to Margaritaville for dinner. Now, the food was a stellar idea, but the walk was a bit challenging for our tired legs.
Three of us ordered margaritas (and Katie was kind enough to share with me – although I may have had more of hers that she did. Fair warning, if you share tequila with me, I may drink it all) and Cami ordered “Angry Balls” (angry orchard cider with fireball) it was amazing!
I was the odd one out when it came to food, the three ladies all ordered the seafood mac and cheese and I opted for the fish and chips with sweet potato fries – and you better believe I ate every last bite!
We were across from the Forum shops, so we headed across the street and I knew I wanted to hit up Express. Well, it was my lucky day! They had everything marked down from 30%-50% and Katie had a coupon for $25 off every $75 that I was able to add to my purchase! I’ve…..er….grown a bit this fall, so I needed some new pants as I was sick of feeling like a sausage in my existing pants.
It was time for Serendipity 3.
We were right there and couldn’t not go, right?!
I had to laugh as Cami wasn’t quiiiite sold on the $13 Frrrrozen hot chocolate, and yet she was the first person done hers. I’ll assume she liked it 🙂
On the walk back to the hotel (at 11:30, it was far too late) we timed it perfectly at the Bellagio and stood and watched in a perfect Oceans Eleven moment.
Monday was my last day in Vegas sniff and I spent it laying by the pool the whole day. The Aria (highly recommended!!) was kind enough to let me keep my room key for access to the pool after I checked out (we were even given a late checkout of noon after they found out I did Ragnar) so I laid by the pool with beers and a burger until it was time to drag my butt to the airport to catch my flight back home to the snow and cold.
It was a rude awakening, let me tell you.
